TMD symptoms are included but not limited to: headache, neck ache, jaw joint aches (TMJ), aching of the facial muscle, clicking or popping noises in the jaw, difficulty with opening or closing the mouth, discomfort or pain when yawning or chewing and inability to open your mouth in the full extension. TMD could be mild or sever. This condition involves your TMJ joint(s), which is the jaw joint. Some patients have TMD but they are still able to function without pain and discomfort. TMDs are more common in women. Specefic symptoms may include: pain in or around the ear, tender jaw muscles. Sometimes in TMD patients the jaw joint clicks or even locks up.
